What does it take to connect to a macos host with mosh

mosh 使用者一直以來在某個版本的 application firewall 升級後就沒辦法有可靠的方法能夠連上 mac 伺服器。有些人辦得到有些人怎麼都弄不出來，以下是成功案例。

sudo /usr/libexec/ApplicationFirewall/socketfilterfw --setglobalstate off
sudo /usr/libexec/ApplicationFirewall/socketfilterfw --add $(which mosh-server)
sudo /usr/libexec/ApplicationFirewall/socketfilterfw --unblockapp $(which mosh-server)
sudo /usr/libexec/ApplicationFirewall/socketfilterfw --setglobalstate on

dkms might not be built correctly post-apt-upgrade

Not just ubuntu, debian also has similar issue that after a big upgrade through apt upgrade, you might not get the link to the right version of kernel header.

Dumb down the Liquid f**king Glass

  • System Settings → Accessibility → Display → Reduce Transparency = ON
  • System Settings → Appearance → Liquid Glass style → Tinted
  • System Settings → Accessibility → Motion → Reduce Motion = ON
  • Start to use Dark Theme because of Liquid Glass
